Poor old Kalisto hasn’t had a great time lately. Survivor Series appeared to set him up for a huge Cruiserweight Championship victory over Brian Kendrick, but it wasn’t to be. Baron Corbin interfered to spoil his party, and when the former Lucha Dragon was granted a sympathy Intercontinental Title shot two nights later, The Lone Wolf put an end to that too.

Corbin has been bullying Kalisto for months. Kalisto hasn’t been on television much, but Corbin was regularly seen pushing him around shortly after the draft. Kalisto deliberately injuring Corbin’s knee ahead of Survivor Series was the final straw, and Corbin has been on a bloodthirsty rampage ever since. It’s time to settle their differences, and they’ll compete in a chairs match this weekend.

Corbin needs to look strong here, but so does Kalisto. The little guy earned a DQ tag victory over Baron and The Miz this week, but he’s fallen victim to some terrible misfortune lately. Kalisto has responded in-kind, but Corbin has ruined two major opportunities for him lately, and it’s time for the bully to get some comeuppance. A loss here would only send Kalisto spiralling towards lower-card purgatory, but a win would establish him as a genuine midcard contender.
