10 Big Mistakes WWE Can't Afford To Make At TLC 2016
2. Too Much Ellsworth
Somehow, James Ellsworth hasn’t ran out of steam yet. The fans are still popping loud for 2016’s answer to Colin Delaney, and after last week’s big win over AJ Styles, Ellsworth’s life took a sharp left turn this week. Styles attacked Dean Ambrose and his chinless sidekick during the Ambrose Asylum, and after multiple chairshots and a Styles Clash off the ring steps, Ellsworth went home in an ambulance.
His spectre will linger over Sunday’s main event. Ambrose took full responsibility for his buddie’s plight, and has sworn to take revenge on the WWE World Champion for what happened. Given that Styles and Ambrose have barely been able to look at each other without Ellsworth showing-up lately, there’s a strong chance that James makes an appearance in the night’s main event. Over-relying on him would be a mistake, however, and hinging the outcome on his actions could prove disastrous.
Ellsworth is close to being overexposed. There are some fans who think it’s ludicrous that he’s been gifted 3 wins over Styles already, and if he’s used too freely, other fans are gonna start hopping off the Ellsworth bandwagon. Ellsworth’s going to want revenge sooner or later, but it’s not worth tainting a big PPV main event over. Let his retribution come on television, and not at TLC.
