10 Big Names Missing From WWE Raw 25

9. Goldberg

Goldberg spent the Monday Night War fighting for the other team. He was one of the most recognisable stars of WCW, famed for his undefeated streak and his brief, explosive matches. He ultimately showed up in WWE very briefly and, although he captured the World Heavyweight Championship during that time, his run is considered to be a disappointment and he certainly failed to capture the blockbuster magic of his undefeated streak.

With that in mind, it would not have been a surprise to see Goldberg absent at Raw 25, were it not for what has happened over the last few years. In the summer of 2016, Goldberg was announced as the cover star for the new WWE video game, which culminated in his return to Raw and a feud with Brock Lesnar. He became Universal Champion and clashed with Lesnar one final time at WrestleMania last year.

Goldberg has recent history with WWE, so he seemed like an easy hit for Raw 25. A brief appearance from him to hit a spear on someone or share a teasing face-to-face would have been obvious, particularly as he has already been announced as an inductee in the Hall of Fame this year.
