10 Big Names Missing From WWE Raw 25

8. Sting

One of the biggest wrestling names to have never been in WWE finally made the jump across to Vince McMahon's company in 2014. Sting had been synonymous with WCW and showed loyalty to that brand throughout the Monday Night War. However, he made his first appearance for WWE at Survivor Series that year, kick-starting a feud with Triple H that would culminate in a fun match at WrestleMania.

Sting would go on to have a main event run in the company that concluded in a championship bout with Seth Rollins at Night of Champions. A neck injury sustained in that match subsequently brought his career to an end. He joined the WWE Hall of Fame in 2016 and is now firmly minted as a star in WWE as well as WCW.

The level of stardom Sting has achieved in the wrestling world - it's not for nothing that WWE nicknamed him 'The Icon' - seemed to suggest that he would make an appearance at Raw 25, but he was completely absent from the show. Even a short appearance for him to do his trademark yell in a backstage segment would have been welcome.
