10 Big Problems AJ Styles Must Overcome In WWE

9. Size And Look

If AJ Styles had been signed by WWE a decade ago, he'd almost certainly have slotted into the cruiserweight division. Even though he's a reported 5'11 and 220 pounds (probably a work), he's relatively small compared to WWE's archetypal wrestler. Things have changed to some extent, with the likes of CM Punk and Daniel Bryan proving that WWE are no longer exclusively The Land Of The Giants, but there's no doubt that size and look do still matter massively. Take a look at John Cena, Brock Lesnar, The Undertaker, Roman Reigns... the people WWE push in the biggest spots are still giant guys. And in truth, the audience still prefers it. The best drawing shows last year had bigger men in the main events. When Daniel Bryan was first WWE Champion, business dropped off. WWE's thinking is set in its ways. They are convinced that size equals money. That means Styles has a ceiling he'll hit in WWE. Can he overcome it? If he at least hits the gym and gets his muscles as big as possible, that could make a difference.
