Last year at Royal Rumble 2014, WWE booked Brock Lesnar v The Big Show, and The Beast Incarnate absolutely demolished and humiliated The World's Largest Athlete, and broke a steel chair over his back. This was done to remind people what a monster Lesnar was because he was heading into a program with The Undertaker at WrestleMania XXX and needed to seem as strong as possible.

This coming Saturday, Lesnar is facing Big Show at Madison Square Garden ahead of his Hell in a Cell match with The Undertaker, and it's the exact same situation. Brock passed out to the Hell's Gate at SummerSlam, so WWE need him to make as big a statement as they can heading into the rematch, and in their mind it means felling a giant weeks before stepping inside the cell.

Brock Lesnar only has so many dates per year, and there are first-time opponents to run him against like Randy Orton, Sheamus or Cesaro who are great at taking a beating but could potentially give Lesnar a surprise upset. Despite Paul Heyman's best efforts, the hype for this match is almost non-existent because there just is no drama or suspense in another Lesnar v Big Show match.
