As LA Knight gets set to challenge Roman Reigns for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at Money in the Bank in just over a week, some fans have speculated about a possible shock heel turn for the Megastar.
Given how Knight has recently talked about how desperate he is to win that World Title, and how he might not get another chance at the gold again should he come up short, that's led some fans to draw comparisons to similar lines from Steve Austin in the lead-up to WrestleMania 17, where Stone Cold's desperation and need to win the WWE Championship ultimately had him turn heel by aligning with Vince McMahon to take that title from The Rock.
Additionally, with the ongoing war between 946 and the Bloodline, those same fans are leaning into the idea that Knight might align with 946 as a way to further stick it to the Bloodline by taking the World Heavyweight Championship from Roman Reigns.
When the topic of an LA Knight heel turn came up on the latest edition of WrestleVotes Live! on Fightful Select, the idea was immediately shot down. Simply put, WWE has no wish to turn LA when he continues to get such strong reactions, and it was also highlighted that he's often been the person closing out shows once they've gone off air, including last night's Raw - something that historically has been done by a talent viewed as a top, or the top, babyface of the day.
So no, for those thinking an LA Knight heel turn is on the way, that's seemingly not the case, at least for now.
