4. How Can The Intercontinental Title Division Be Revived?
The upcoming Night of Champions PPV always promises to cast extra focus on the WWE's various championship titles, but the least enthralling by far is the current Intercontinental Championship picture. Big Show, Miz, and current champion Ryback have been embroiled in a three-way feud for what seems like forever now, and their rivalry looked set to continue after Miz's dastardly interference on Raw. Night of Champions could well see another triple threat booked (hopefully with some sort of stipulation to separate it from SummerSlam's lacklustre affair), but fans would surely prefer an entirely new set of challengers to emerge. The possibilities for potential heel challengers are numerous. Any of the Wyatt family's three members could stake a claim, as could the previously mentioned Kevin Owens. A case could even be made for an NXT star such as Finn Balor or Samoa Joe to make an explosive debut by winning the belt. Heck, turn Zack Ryder heel and have him wreak havoc over the midcard - anything to save the Intercontinental division.
