10 Big Talking Points From WWE Raw (July 4)
2. Let's Get This Feud Over With Already
The New Day-Wyatt Family feud hit its third week on Raw, and despite the best efforts of The New Day, the whole thing feels unsalvageable. The Wyatts are stale, and any number of generic, badly-scripted lines by Erick Rowan or Braun Strowman won't save them. Even Bray is tired as can be. The dropping of the babyface turn means that the group is the same now as they were three years ago, and fans have seen it all before.
Unfortunately, they seem to be the one unit that's gotten under The New Day's skin, as Xavier Woods seems genuinely afraid of the group. He even teased the end of The New Day, if they didn't take The Wyatt Family seriously.
With any luck, this is all a ruse - Xavier is just lulling The Wyatt Family into a false sense of security and, come Battleground, they'll defeat the backwoods trio and put an end to it. The thought of The Wyatts actually claiming the Tag Team Titles or serving as a real obstacle for The New Day is snore-inducing. This needs to end at Battleground, and it needs to end with The New Day victorious.
