10 Big WWE Feuds Chris Jericho Could Have If He Stays Long Term

10. Bad News Barrett

WWE.comWWE.comJericho and Bad News Barrett have competed against one another in the past but never in anything even closely resembling a feud. With Barrett a much more over, much better wrestler that he has ever been before, a feud with Jericho could result in a few defining matches for the talented Brit. Unfortunately, his separated shoulder has sidelined him for months, according to color commentator Michael Cole on the June 30 episode of Raw. That would definitely put a wrench in any potential feud between he and returning Jericho, especially if Y2J cannot be convinced to stick around past a few months. If he were to stay put, to rediscover his passion for competing and commit to a longer schedule than the one he worked in 2013, the feud is not out of the realm of possibility. The promos alone would make the program worth watching. Barrett has completely immersed himself in the character and appears to have fun every time he has the chance to run down and opponent or a host city and its fans. Imagine the joy he could get out of poking fun at Jericho's light-up jackets or his Dancing With The Stars past, not to mention some of his past (or present) hairdos. Jericho, never one to outshone on the microphone, would likely have some entertaining one-liners and comebacks of his own. Given the competitor's propensity for hitting hard and taking tremendous punishment, the matches would be fun to watch for the sheer stiffness they would employee. With Barrett becoming a much better worker in terms of sequencing and countering, working with someone as sound and creative as Jericho would only enhance his game and help him better himself. The positives are numerous but again, with Barrett's injury, Jericho would have to commit to a longer schedule for the program to even be a possibility.
