8. Bray Wyatt Dominates The Chamber

Bray Wyatt looked strong in this year’s Royal Rumble, but he fell short of winning when Roman Reigns eliminated him towards the end. Still, 3rd-place is a strong finish for the revived Eater of Worlds, whose long-damaged credibility has been greatly restored since entering his alliance with Randy Orton.

Wyatt will join four other contenders in challenging for John Cena’s WWE Championship at Elimination Chamber this weekend, and he has an excellent chance of winning. Wyatt usually thrives in chaotic environments like this, and he has looked great in the ring since winning Survivor Series’ 5-on-5 match for his team. Regardless of the order of entrance, Wyatt’s chances of becoming a top-level WWE title-holder have never been higher, and Elimination Chamber could be his coronation.

It’ll end John Cena’s record-matching 16th world title reign after just two weeks, but that doesn’t matter. Cena’s win was always going to be about “making history” rather than all-round dominance of the division, and the gimmick gives WWE the chance to protect him in the loss. On the other side of the equation, fans have been pining for a Wyatt title run since the day he debuted. His victory will be universally celebrated among WWE’s fanbase, and it can’t come soon enough.
