Triple H vs. Seth Rollins was one of the first matches pegged for WrestleMania 33. The build started when The Game cost Rollins the WWE Universal Championship back in August, and took a huge twist with Samoa Joe's ambush last week. Sadly, Rollins re-injured his surgically rebuilt knee during the confrontation, and now looks set to miss 6-8 weeks of action.

WWE haven't ruled the match out yet, but there's a big chance Rollins won't be able to compete at his second WrestleMania in a row. A huge disappointment for Seth, his fans, and Triple H, who now finds himself short of options for Orlando.

The most likely outcome is that Triple H just doesn't wrestle. Shane McMahon has been mentioned as a potential opponent, but Shane is still expected to fight AJ Styles on April 2nd, and there's little benefit to Hunter wrestling another unbooked star like Sami Zayn.

Expect Triple H to appear only sparingly over the coming weeks and months. Samoa Joe's rampage will continue, but The Game doesn't need to be on television without Rollins to quarrel with, particularly if WWE can't salvage the match. He'll almost certainly appear at 'Mania, but it'll likely be in the form of a confrontation segment with Rollins rather than a match.
