7. What's In The Egg?
Even by 1990's standards, having a giant egg as a focal point of the build to your next big PPV was a terrible idea. Especially if you expected fans to believe that their next favourite Superstar was actually inside it waiting for his moment to break free.
Throughout the entirety of the 1990 Survivor Series, 'Rowdy' Roddy Piper and Gorilla Monsoon speculated on who (or what) could be inside this oversized egg, playing up just how excited the capacity crowd was for the eventual reveal.
Well, the time did eventually roll around and much to absolutely nobodies amusement, when the egg finally hatched a five foot ten inch Héctor Guerrero popped out dressed as a turkey, and began to dance around the ring.
Poor 'Mean' Gene Okerlund sold it like it was the second coming of Hulk Hogan, proclaiming "Is this the Gobbledy Gooker?", while ring announcer Howard Finkel danced arm-in-arm with the creature as fans reigned down boos on everyone involved.
