10 Biggest Acts Of WWE Revenge

10. Hogan Stops Sid From Winning The Rumble

One main gripe critics of Hulk Hogan have is the fact that, even in his days as an ultra-babyface, he often acted in a selfish and petty manner (both offscreen and in the ring). Never was this more evident than towards the end of the 1992 Royal Rumble, a match widely considered the best Rumble ever. Having been eliminated by future enemy Sid in a completely fair manner, Hogan lingered at ringside while plotting his revenge. Sid unwisely engaged in an argument with the Hulkster, allowing Hogan to reach up and grab his arm. Although Sid was able to avoid being dragged over the top rope, he was unable to free himself from Hogan's grip, allowing Ric Flair to scuttle up from behind and dump him out - winning not only the Rumble, but the WWF Championship in the process. Hogan's actions were infuriating and unfair, which would have been great booking had he been leaning towards a heel turn at the time. Instead, however, they were presented to the audience as the justified actions of a wronged babyface, something which jars with more than a few fans even to this day.
