1. Mike Tyson

The speed of his count at WrestleMania XIV may still rankle a little, but Mike Tyson's status as one of the biggest celebrity wrestling fans on the planet is well-documented. The (former) Baddest Man on the Planet was a fan from a young age, and has often said in interviews that pro wrestling was the 'light' in his life, whereas boxing was the 'dark'.

Bruno Sammartino is his favourite wrestler of all time, the sort of answer one can only give to the 'who is your favourite wrestler?' question if one is a genuine fan. Many have spoken about Tyson's fandom, including Pat Patterson, who described Tyson backstage as like a 'kid in a candy store'.

Tyson was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2012 and not many have disagreed with his spot in the celebrity wing of that fictitious hall.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
