10 Biggest Criticisms Of The WWE Right Now

2. Wins And Losses Don't Matter

This is a direct result of WWE's 50/50 booking model and one of the main reasons that live crowds go absolutely silent during matches. No matter who wins or loses, nothing ever changes in WWE. Think about the current feud between John Cena and Bray Wyatt. John Cena is the number one star in WWE and the unquestioned franchise of the company. At Extreme Rules, Bray Wyatt beats Cena in a cage match thanks to interference from former Bushwhacker manager Jameson's son (look it up). A cage match is usually a match that ends feuds but, instead, Cena came out the next night on Raw with an "aw shucks" attitude. You can even forget about the main event for a second. On any random episode of Raw, why does it matter if Cody Rhodes and Goldust beat Ryback and Curtis Axel? Ryback and Axel could easily receive a tag title match the next week because the writers have no idea what else to do. Here's a random booking idea: Why not do something similar to NCAA football and their ranking system? Those of us in the US know how much arguing and fighting happen every year when teams are ranked higher or lower than fans think they should be. Present a top 10 every week and have workers move up and down the ranks as they win or lose matches. You could even take it a step further and imitate European soccer leagues. If you are number 10 in the world title ranks and you lose, you drop down to the Intercontinental title level and are replaced by someone in that list. Then you have to fight your way back into the world title picture. Is it a perfect idea? Of course not. However, it would make every match on a typical TV card matter and the focus would be put back on the in-ring product instead of Diva drama or the latest backstage crap.
