10 Biggest Game-Changers In Wrestling Right Now

1. Triple H

Though it'll likely be several years before Vince McMahon is ready to cede control, the wrestling world will be at Triple H and wife Stephanie's fingertips when the Chairman finally steps aside, and 'The Game' has already played a major role in shaping the company's operations.

As a WWE executive, Triple H's most obvious impact comes through developmental. Now a viable third brand in its own right, NXT has completely reinvented the concept of such territories in pro-wrestling, with its TakeOver specials regularly delivering some of the most cutting edge wrestling on the planet. The shift away from under-seasoned NFL dropouts and fitness models and towards readymade independent talent has helped immensely, and couldn't have happened without Vince's forward-thinking son-in-law, who may well prove to be more like the big man than many would care to admit, but has given fans every reason to feel positive about the company when he eventually takes the throne.

Triple H is a paradox. The destroyer/creator dynamic is very, very real, but as loathsome as he can be on air, he has forged a new identity as the architect of WWE's bright new future. Let's hope he's as successful in transforming the company as it seems like he'll be.
