WrestleMania 36 might've been the most bizarre two nights of pro wrestling ever.

Just as everyone thought night one's 'Boneyard Match' business, KO's big bump on Seth Rollins, Braun Strowman's destruction of Goldberg and all those wild stunts in the rearranged ladder three-way were enough, along came night number two. Man-oh-man, it didn't disappoint.

Who could've known before 'Mania's second act that WWE would serve up sentimental smooches that tugged at the heartstrings (sort of), feature incredible revenge from the best practitioner of facial expressions not called Vince McMahon, include WCW throwbacks and chuck in a few of the most vicious-looking moves in recent company history? It was, at times, almost hysterical good fun.

WrestleMania has been criticised for kicking the arse out of things in the modern age, and it was definitely guilty of exhausting fans both live and watching at home in 2019. WWE only had to entertain the latter this year though, and they did so by going full force with moments that made folks say, 'Holy sh*t!".
