This was a trip.

A certain generation of pro wrestling fans surely felt rather old when Rob Van Dam walked out on stage to become the latest WWE Hall Of Fame inductee. This is a guy who looks like he could still tear it up on Raw or SmackDown, and here he was reminiscing about things that feel like they only happened last week.

Hearing RVD talk about becoming WWE Champion was strange. That was 2006, man, and 2006 doesn't feel 'retro', 'vintage' or 'old-timey' enough to be HOF worthy. It is though, and that's ridiculous. '06 was 15 years ago now, which is enough to make any 30-something fan feel rather queasy.

Rob's stories calmed the stomach a little, to be fair. He was another victim of the truncated formatting this year, but he whizzed through thanks for everyone from The Sheik and Sabu to WWE officials and all of the fans who have supported him over the years.
