6. Seth Rollins: Good Crack

As of writing, Seth Rollins is passably serving a purpose as the Universal Champion, harmed to some thanks to barrage of off-base tweets that took aim at all the wrong guys in all the wrong ways despite clear and apparent good intention.

It's all so boringly complicated now. Rollins was once just a f*cking fabulous. He was once simply more over than almost any babyface on the show. He was once able to break a million hearts with a single chairshot.

Proving to be the decisive crack in The Shield as they appeared on the surface to be their most dominant stint yet, 'The Architect' demolished his own creation with gut-wrenching hate, following their destruction of Triple H's Evolution reboot one night earlier.

'The Hounds Of Justice' had spent a year in 'The Game's pocket before definitively breaking away after WrestleMania XXX, but Seth's sudden betrayal cut deeper due to their relative freshness as bonafide babyface headliners.

Many posited that it was too soon to sever ties within the group whilst still riding a new wave at the top of the card, but an enormously heated 2017 rekindling and their countless evocative goodbyes ahead of Dean Ambrose's exit highlighted how it was better to burn out that their brightest than fade away later like so many of their contemporaries.
