Before he made it into WWE, Chris Nowinski probably considered himself a jock-of-all-trades. He was an All-Ivy defensive tackle for the Harvard University football team and general man about town. His WWE character played off his Harvard pedigree and he wore the University's letterman jacket to the ring. Once in WWE, however, Nowinski found out who the real jocks were when senior wrestlers ribbed and tested him. Would-be hard men JBL and Tazz notoriously stiffed him and gave him concussions. Nowadays, Nowinski is retired due to recurring concussion issues and is one of the leading experts in concussion-based research with the Sports Legacy Institute.
