7. Jim Cornette

Speaking of which, there are few better examples of loudmouth managers than Jim Cornette. In the mid-1980s, Cornette (along with his Midnight Express tag-team) regularly headlined NWA shows against a babyface unit. There are numerous stories of fans being so incensed by Cornette's antics that the ringside mouthpiece was attacked.

It takes a certain level of skill to be able to pull that kind of emotion from people. Back then, fans were more willing to believe in the characters they were presented with. That's inarguable for sure, however it doesn't change the fact that Jim Cornette was superb at his job.

Another example of Cornette's ability to rant on with little sign of stopping came during the 'Attitude Era'. Called upon by Vince McMahon to deliver weekly diatribes on everything from WCW to the state of the wrestling business, Jim was only too happy to oblige and fill a few minutes on Raw.

Watching these clips on YouTube or via the WWE Network can often be intoxicating. Even if you don't agree with what Cornette is spouting, it's hard not to be transfixed by what he's saying.
