10 Biggest Matches WWE Can Book In 2018

8. Kurt Angle Vs Samoa Joe

Unexpectedly necessitated by Roman Reigns' ultra-late removal from the Tables, Ladders and Chairs card in October 2017, Kurt Angle's return to a WWE ring has almost been overshadowed by the grandiose circumstances of his matches. And after competing in only two of them, it's already become clear how for the best that probably was.

It was wonderful to see the Olympic Gold Medalist don the singlet underneath his Raw t-shirt at the Survivor Series, as it was to catch a glimpse of the fire in his eyes as he bulldozed through The Bar the prior month. But, as evidenced quite literally by the heavy bandaging around his knee, Kurt is on his last legs, and a return to a full-time WWE schedule would probably be as unwelcome to the fanbase as it would his delicate frame.

If Angle has one genuine classic left up his shrinking sleeve, its with a performer he'll trust implicitly and a burgeoning superstar he definitely owes a favour to. Samoa Joe and Kurt had incredible matches in TNA, but thanks to the closed-mindedness of the booking, the Olympian almost always emerged victorious. For the good of everybody involved, Angle needs to get his muscles (safely) busted.
