Way back at WrestleMania 31, The Rock interrupted both Triple H and Stephanie McMahon to welcome Ronda Rousey into the ring. At the time, Rousey was undefeated in MMA, something which has since changed. That doesn't diminish her drawing power, there would still be a truck load of excitement over any WWE appearances.

Confronting Stephanie, Rousey played her part brilliantly in an excellent in-ring segment. As soon as it had concluded, fans on social media immediately figured Ronda would be working a match against McMahon at some point in the near future.

Nothing came of the skit, but that doesn't mean WWE couldn't revisit it to hype a match at 'Mania 33.

Stephanie is portrayed as the most dominant female in WWE, a position that would be instantly challenged by Rousey crashing the scene.

Stephanie vs. Ronda could create some mainstream interest for the show, only adding to the celebrity battle pitting Shaq against The Big Show. It's bouts like this that WWE are interested in, because they seem to enhance the stature of WrestleMania.
