AEW Set To Lose ANOTHER Former Champion (AEW News)

Max Caster's existing AEW deal is set to expire in October.

After plentiful rumblings about his AEW future, there's now a little more clarity on the status of Max Caster.

Following previous reports that Platinum Max's existing AEW deal was up at some point this year, Fightful Select has now discovered that Caster's contract is set to expire around October time. The former AEW Tag Team Champion and former AEW Trios Champion has yet to wrestle a match for AEW in 2026 as of this writing, and Fightful adds that he's not been backstage much in recent months.

The last time Max Caster laced them up in AEW was as part of the Dynamite Diamond Ring Battle Royal last December; a battle royal won by Bandido. Caster was fairly active in AEW last year, wrestling 26 matches for the promotion, and being involved in an on-off tag team with his Acclaimed pal, Anthony Bowens. However, Bowens is nowadays a part of the Opps.

While he's yet to wrestle for AEW this year, Max has still been busy elsewhere, competing for various independent promotions, most recently facing Bobby Orlando for Beyond Wrestling last month in Rhode Island.

As for what's next for Max Caster, Fightful hasn't heard whether there have been any talks about extending his time being #AllElite.

Max debuted for AEW in June 2020, initially wrestling exclusively on AEW Dark, before he and Anthony Bowens were brought to Dynamite at the end of the year.
