10 Biggest Mismatches In Wrestling History

3. Rey Mysterio vs The Great Khali

If we're looking at the size difference between Rey Mysterio and another wrestler look no further than The Great Khali. Khali is taller than Big Show and because of his body style and the way he walks, he looks even taller than he is. After Mysterio won the World Title at WrestleMania 22, he was immediately placed in matches against opponents of a large variety: Khali, Kane, Mark Henry, and JBL were some of his post-Mania "dance partners" and the matches were designed to really showcase how small he was. None were more memorable than his match with Khali a month after Mania with the infamous shot of them squaring off before the match began. Rey only came up to about the belly button area of Khali in that standoff. It helped to make Khali look like an even bigger monster than ever before but it also made Mysterio more of an underdog based on size than ever before. That meant both men were able to benefit from this mismatch for a while. Khali's win made this one of six matches Rey would lose on television in the three months he was champion, which is something nearly unheard of for a World Champion.
