Considering the phenomenon that Broken (or, for legal reasons, Woken) Matt has become over the last year and a half, it'd feel instinctively wrong not to include at least one of his matches on this list.

The brother on brother "Full Metal Mayhem" clash he shared with Jeff (soon to be Brother Nero) at Slammiversary, the first pay-per-view bout he fought under his new guise, is the obvious one that springs to mind.

Yes, it was on one level simply a re-hash of the feud the Hardy Boyz shared in 2009 when they were still with WWE, but with Matt's sudden personality bypass, it had so many more layers. Instead of another jealous sibling angle, it was about both of them completely reinventing themselves.

This has to go down as one of the most significant matches in recent TNA history. Without it, it's unlikely that Broken Matt would have taken off in quite the way that it did, which in turn would have put paid to any lingering hopes of him enjoying the singles run in WWE that he so richly deserved (and which we at last appear to be on the cusp of).
