10 Biggest Regrets From The Undertaker's WWE Career

4. Letting Brock Lesnar End The Streak

When The Undertaker showed up for WrestleMania XXX in 2014, he was set to do what he always did: Arrive, take souls, extend the Streak and leave. And then Vince McMahon had a last-minute change of heart and wanted Brock Lesnar to become the man to beat 'The Phenom' at the Showcase of Immortals. Ever the loyal company man, 'Taker honoured McMahon's wishes in spite of the fact that he didn't think Brock needed it.

'Taker himself recounted that story on the Brothers of Destruction documentary, suggesting that he would have preferred if Roman Reigns broke The Streak instead. Looking back now, it's hard to argue with him.

Though Lesnar benefited from the rub immediately, he was already seen as a monstrous threat that nobody wanted to dance with. Being the man to beat The Streak may have enhanced that, but it's clear that 'Taker was right and that 'The Beast' didn't need that push. And considering WWE tried to recreate the moment by having 'The Deadman' lose again at WrestleMania to Reigns three years later, it's clear that they also second-guessed wasting the push on an already-established Beast.

Now, here we are years later and Lesnar is nowhere to be seen and Reigns is only just on the trajectory he should have been years ago...
