Obviously, any book describing a huge quantity of wrestling matches would soon become tiresome without an even spread of competitors and match types populating the list. Nevertheless, it's natural to expect that some of the all-time greats are likely to crop up more times than others.

A quick straw poll of who are the greatest WWE performer of all-time tends to throw up the same names: Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels, The Undertaker, Steve Austin...the usual bunch. Sure enough, each of the above has more than a handful of matches listed in DK's 100.

But which features the most? Michaels? After all, there was surely no more consistent in-ring performer than The Heartbreak Kid? Or perhaps 'Taker: his long tenure in the company must ensure he's racked up more classic matches than anybody?

No, guess again. The outright winner is obviously Triple H, with a staggering 18 matches popping up in the 100. Given his enduring influence in the company, maybe it isn't such a surprise after all...

He's currently trying to compile a comprehensive history of video game music, yet denies accusations that he purposefully targets niche audiences. He's often wrong about these things.
