10 Biggest Winners From CM Punk Leaving WWE

5. Brock Lesnar

Just as Paul Heyman benefits from not having an on-screen association with CM Punk, so does his sole charge, Brock Lesnar. A match between the two men became inevitable as soon as Heyman aligned himself with Punk, and while their SummerSlam bout was very good, Lesnar doesn't need to be taking care of his manager's unfinished business. Instead, Lesnar should be carving his own path in the company, with Heyman acting to supplement the box office attraction that is "The Beast." Had CM Punk remained in WWE, it's likely that we would have seen the two men face-to-face again, and any further interaction between the two - even a simple backstage staredown - would work to Lesnar's detriment. While Paul Heyman's associations with other WWE stars have been quietly brushed away, it's hard to imagine the same would happen with Punk, and Lesnar would (if only momentarily) once again be drawn into a triangle of sorts - and that's a best-case scenario. If Punk were to turn heel again, he might end up in aligned with Lesnar and Heyman, and that would surely do "The Beast" no good.
