I considered this a great surprise to start off the main show. I've always been a mark for Alberto Del Rio and am happy to see him back. While Zeb Colter is no Ricardo Rodriguez in terms of an Hispanic introduction, he still offered a nice swerve for an introduction as John Cena's opponent. For a second there I was truly buying into a Jack Swagger challenge. Del Rio claimed the United States Championship from John in a really straightforward match. There wasn't 1 million near falls and kick outs of finishers. In fact, it took one stiff kick while John was on his knees to secure the pinfall. This was a great way to reintroduce Alberto back to WWE and he will be a fine carrier of that belt, at least in John's absence. Hopefully he'll continue the Open Challenge tradition that Cena started.
