Team Captaining AND Surviving in 1987, 1988 and 1989, Macho Man Randy Savage was an early Survivor Series megastar.

Partnering up with old rival Ricky Steamboat in 1987 to give Honky Tonk Man a hammering for his crimes against Elizabeth, Savage holds the honour of winning the first ever Survivor Series match the company ever presented on Pay-Per-View.

He'd outdo himself the following year in a herculean effort, coming out on top again after taking an monstrous beating from his heel opponents whilst Mega Powers partner Hogan was handcuffed to the bottom rope.

By 1989, he was fully immersed in his Macho King persona, again captaining a team to success and surviving himself, in a match which included an extended segment with Bret Hart that alone is worth reliving on the Network.

Rounding out his record with a crowd-pleasing disqualification victory with Mr Perfect over Ric Flair and Razor Ramon in 1992, and a team win as a surprise partner (replacing Mr Perfect, ironically enough) in 1993, Savage would be leave the WWF right before 1994's show, taking his unbeaten record with him never to return.

At his dynamic best in the early days of the show, it comes as no shock to see Savage ranked among Survivor Series' top performers.
