The current WWE Intercontinental Champion has had a barnstormer of a year since the draft. The Miz was the IC Champ when the brand split returned, but it wasn't until he established himself as a frustrated character on the recently-cancelled Talking Smack that things began to move for Mr. Mizanin.

Miz's impassioned tirade against SmackDown General Manager Daniel Bryan made him an engrossing character for the first time in years. In the space of an argument Miz went from a perennial secondary champion to a main event performer in waiting once again. His promos were continually the highlight of WWE's televised product, and his feud with Dolph Ziggler was particularly thrilling.

Miz moved to RAW as part of the superstar shake-up following WrestleMania 33, and he has made the transition to the flagship show better than most. The Miz is WWE through and through, and he willingly swallowed his medicine in the years following his WrestleMania XXVII main event.

The draft has allowed Miz the chance to move back to the main event picture.
