10 Biggest WrestleMania Regrets WWE Must Have

6. Michael Cole Giving The Austin-Rock Result Away Ahead Of Time - WrestleMania XV

Sometimes the WWE commentators make mistakes. Normally they€™re small and insignificant, like mispronouncing a person€™s name or using the term €˜literally€™ in the wrong way (happens more often than you think). Michael Cole, for example, has been WWE€™s go-to commentator in recent years, especially after Jim Ross€™s retirement. You would think that after over 15 years with WWE, he wouldn€™t be making mistakes as the lead commentator. While that might be true now, it wasn€™t in 1999. In fact, he made a colossal mistake at WrestleMania XV: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wQnSSyU1Eyc Basically, as the Cell is being lowered for the (dreadful) Undertaker-Bossman match, Michael Cole plugs the Home Shopping Network, where one would €˜hear from the new WWF Champion€™. In other words, Cole basically told everyone that €˜Stone Cold€™ Steve Austin would defeat the Rock for the WWF title before the match even took place. While the match between these two legendary Superstars was good, the fact that Cole gave away the results really ruined a lot of the drama and suspense needed to make the match even better. While it wasn€™t something WWE could€™ve fixed at the time, it must certainly be something they regret now, since those flubbed lines ruined an otherwise great match.
