10 Biggest Wrestling Belt Controversies

3. Madusa Trashes The WWF Women's Title

In 1995, the WWF tasted some of their own medicine when Alundra Blayze (once more working as Madusa) showed face on WCW Monday Nitro and hurled Vinnie Mac's Women's Title into the trash live on air. That had to be a dagger through the Vin-man's heart even though he barely cared about the belt's lineage.

Women's Title or not, here was something representative of WWF being denigrated on WCW television. That had to sting, but it was just more of those dirty rotten tactics from 'Dubya-C-Dubya' that aimed to tear down Vince's 'humble, family-built company'.

How quickly bullies turn into victims when they're on the receiving end, eh?

After binning the belt, Madusa was blacklisted by WWE for years. She didn't actually come back into view until her Hall Of Fame induction in 2015. Since then, she's become somewhat of an ambassador for the company and spokeswoman for the revitalised female movement.
