10 BIGGEST Wrestling Events Ever
3. WrestleMania 32
This is the last WrestleMania on the list.
It's only fitting that the largest stadium in the National Football League hosted the biggest WWE pay-per-view ever. A genuine 80,709 people sat below the closed roof to watch the third Granddaddy of Them All in Texas; the Lone Star State also hosted X-Seven and 25, then went on to host 38 as well.
How did Vince McMahon reward fans at their highest attended show in history? With one more attempt to crown Roman Reigns as the latest next big thing, by having Triple H drop his final WWE Championship to the Big Dog.
Most of the event was a letdown really. Brock Lesnar walked his way through a No Holds Barred Street Fight with a much more up for it Dean Ambrose, while The Rock won his last ever match; an impromptu one move squash against poor Erick Rowan during a segment that went on for 30 goddamn minutes.
Some of it was good. Finally, the problematic Divas title was replaced with a brand new Women's Championship, which Charlotte Flair took home. It was genuinely heartwarming to see Zack Ryder become Intercontinental Champion too.
It got weird as well. If The Undertaker lost inside Hell in a Cell then his WrestleMania career was over. Standing in his way was... Simba! Genuinely, Shane McMahon was thrown into this match against the Deadman, who was suddenly Vince's lapdog, because he threatened to reveal the contents of a lockbox belonging to his father. We can guess what was in there now at least... boy oh boy.
For WWE's biggest show ever (which didn't have the announced 101,763 attendance) it wasn't much.
