WWE had used the much smaller O2 Arena for Money in the Bank a month earlier, having chosen the Principality Stadium in Cardiff for Clash at the Castle in 2022. It was a big gamble from the fledgling promotion...
So, what happened?
81,035 paying customers descended upon London for the biggest wrestling show (and paid attendance) in western history. The Granddaddy of Them All happens every year; All In felt special because of the faith that AEW put in its European fans. They hadn't hosted a show in a stadium before, or one outside of the United States for that matter, but everything came together and history was made. They're doing it next year too... your move WWE.
