Not exactly how you thought this list would kick off, is it? Aside from his part in influencing Vince McMahon to enter the Attitude Era alongside Shawn Michaels in a private meeting, Triple H is the man behind the internets current darling: NXT. Over the last several years, The Game has assumed more and more responsibility behind the scenes. Triple H realized that the days of pulling veterans from rival promotions and having them quickly adapt to the WWE in-ring style are numbered. So he pushed WWE to invest heavily in its developmental process. In the past, WWE worked with promotions like Ohio Valley Wrestling and Florida Championship Wrestling to get talent ready for the main roster. Now, with the construction of the WWE Performance Center, WWE can sign athletes, train them under their own roof, and provide physical therapy in an environment unlike anything the business has ever seen. Since then, Triple H has also pushed for NXT to become a vital part of the WWE Network to showcase their up and coming talent. Triple H makes himself present at every taping and NXT is quickly becoming one of WWEs must-see programs. It has even developed a cult following to the point that people are turned away at sold out live events. To top it all off, The Cerebral Assassin is responsible for recruiting and signing world-class wrestlers such as Hideo Itami, Kevin Owens, Finn Balor, Adrian Neville, and Sami Zayn. Thanks to Hunter, the future looks pretty bright.
Eric Delgado has been writing about professional wrestling for five years and has been involved in the professional wrestling business as a performer for ten. He is also the former host of Steel Cage Radio and has an irrational love for The Ryback.
