10 Biggest WTF WWE Signings Ever

What were Vince and company thinking when they offered these guys contracts?

With Vince McMahon running the WWE for over 30 years, you'd think he'd have a good eye for talent. You'd think. Despite signing and developing some truly great wrestlers over the years, now and then he misses the mark. Sometimes by a lot. There have been a few wrestlers who even the un-trained eye knew didn't have the potential to rise to mediocrity. It makes you wonder "WTF was Vince thinking?" When hiring a wrestler, you're always taking a big risk. WWE is a company airing shows watched by millions of fans every week. To fill those precious starring roles, you need someone talented and ready for the spotlight. That is why questionable wrestlers like Scott Hall and Scott Steiner get re-hired, because in a best case scenario they could have still made an impact. Others, like a Tom Magee or Ken Patera at least had a great look, and incredible athleticism to warrant taking a chance. This list isn't for them. Here we take a look at the men and women who shocked and confused us by being on our TVs at all. Why Vince? Why? From former mid-carders who should have called it a career, to unnecessary managers, to foreign threats who were laughably inept, here are WWE's 10 biggest WTF signings.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
