10 Biggest WWE Changes Since WrestleMania 31

3. Kevin Owens Is A Legitimate, Perfect Heel

There is no shortage of bad guys in WWE, but there has been a void that needed to be filled by a character that perfectly summarises what a heel should be. Then along came Kevin Owens. Further than just the obvious traits you've come to expect from heel characters - picking fights, dirty tactics etc - Owens is a throwback to the heels of yesteryear that did everything they could to make the fans despise them. Funnily enough, that's what makes him so popular. Owens' matches are much more than just going through the motions towards an eventual finish. The heel traits he possesses make his matches can't-miss material solely due to the verbal disrespect he regularly dishes out to his opponents. More importantly, he generally backs it up with over-the-top, unnecessary beat downs. For the first time in a long while, not just dating back to WrestleMania 31, Kevin Owens represents the first heel character that you can truly hate just for being himself; it's easy to find yourself wanting a babyface to finally give him the whooping he deserves. That takes serious skill in an age during which WWE fans are more critical than they have ever been.

Overly-opinionated Australian WWE smark who is definitely not #booty. Slowly angering the IWC one article at a time. We will probably strongly dislike each other - let's be friends! @MattKMarsden
