Everyone knew the Hardy Boyz had re-signed with WWE and were, in all likelihood, going to make an appearance at WrestleMania 33. In fact, some even predicted that they would walk out of the show as the new Raw Tag Team Champions.

So how come this managed to catch us off our guard? Explanation: this was the company - and wrestling - at its very best. First they got Matt and Jeff into the arena unseen, then they had the ladder match competitors enter the ring, and only seconds before the bell was about to ring did they bring out the New Day.

Once Kofi, Big E, and Xavier took to the stage, you kind of knew what was coming next - but the WrestleMania hosts played their decoy role to a tee, paving the way for the Hardys to lap up a rapturous (and well-deserved) ovation.
