10 Biggest WWE Roster Cuttings Ever
9. All Of 1993
This one is a broader entry, but it has to be included due to the shocking amount of talents that would leave the then-WWF in 1993. Of the 30 men in that year's Royal Rumble match, 19 of them would be finished with the company as a full-time wrestler by year's end. Among the notable examples from that match: Ric Flair, Mr. Perfect, Ted Dibiase, The Nasty Boys, Tito Santana, and Earthquake. In other cases, established veterans like Koko B Ware and Repo Man (Demolition Smash) would also end their time with the WWF before 1993 was out.
Hulk Hogan and Brutus Beefcake returned and would be gone within months. The Big Boss Man and Hacksaw Jim Duggan also both left, as did Rick Martel, though he would be brought back by the end of summer to fill out the thinning herd.
