The involvement of Sting at SummerSlam has been rumoured for over a month now. The early reports were that he was going to be in a match and that he was in great shape. WWE even filmed commercials with him to promote the event, but those have been cancelled. The match was going to see him team with Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns against The Wyatt Family, but with Erick Rowan out of action with a biceps injury, it's going to be a regular tag match without Sting. Since Sting is also going to be in Brooklyn on Friday August 21 for a meet & greet signing with Shawn Michaels, he'll be in town for SummerSlam. It's very possible that he's going to get involved in the Wyatt match in some way. Should Sting do something to stop Wyatt from cheating, that could lead to a match between them at one of the following PPVs, perhaps Survivor Series, which could be a traditional multi-man elimination match. If WWE really wants to make SummerSlam the "WrestleMania of the summer" then they need to do something special that will make people talk about the big moments. A surprise appearance from Sting is exactly the kind of thing that could get the WWE Universe buzzing.
