It appears that some people within WWE are still unhappy with The Rock's video paying tribute to Benjamin 'PAC' Satterley's tragic passing last month.

As the wrestling world paid tribute to PAC after his death on September 27th, Dwayne Johnson was one of those to comment on this tragedy, sending his condolences to Ben's family, friends, and colleagues. In the aftermath of Johnson posting that video, the Wrestling Observer's Dave Meltzer reported that some people in WWE were "very surprised" by Rock's wording in the video where it pertains to AEW.

Continuing on, Meltzer has now written in the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter that "not a week has gone by without at least one person from WWE bringing up the Dwayne Johnson video on Ben Satterley's death" in the time between then and now. The Observer founder notes that it was specifically Johnson's comments praising Tony Khan that have been brought up to him. In that video, Khan was called a "good friend", and Johnson said that AEW was "growing into this phenomenal wrestling company", and Meltzer said that, for some in WWE, "the sting still hasn’t gone away" when it comes to these Tony Khan and AEW-related comments.

Meltzer also mentioned that Dwayne Johnson was at one point advertised to appear at WWE's recent tryouts in Honolulu, Hawaii, though advertising of him for those tryouts had stopped a while ago.
