10 Biggest WWE WrestleMania 34 Missed Opportunities

7. Same Old, Same Old

WWE WrestleMania 34 NXT Battle Royal

Given WWE's general obsession with "making history," creating "moments," the quality of the first ever women's Royal Rumble, and the renewed push the division continues to receive, you'd think the company would lay out an inaugural WrestleMania Women's Battle Royale designed to live long in the memory. Sadly, they did not, and the bout was just as disposable as the men's.

It wasn't without merit, though. The NXT team-up spots were fun, as were Bayley and Sasha Banks' interactions, but nothing was particularly well executed. The action was clunky and forgettable. Granted, working in such a crowded ring can't be easy, but it was just as hard to watch as the Andre has been since its inception, even as the field thinned out.

At this stage, it looks like the Women's Battle Royale will be just as pointless as the Andre going forward. WWE had the opportunity to establish something meaningful, but they failed, and while it'll be great to see so many women getting to compete at WrestleMania every year, it's hard to see what they'll gain other than a potential payday.
