10 Most Bizarre Stories From Former WWE Superstars

10. Mr. Saito And Ken Patera Go To McDonald's

Ken Patera Mr Saito The road is an amazing place for pro wrestlers. Left to their own devices between towns, guys pile into cars, and between coming down from the thrill of in-ring competition to use-to-abuse of various substances to all things in-between, wildness oftentimes ensues. The wildest road story ever, though? Well, let's open and close the conversation with Ken Patera and Mr. Saito's AWA territory road trip on April 6, 1984, when the duo was denied service at a closed McDonald's in Waukesha, Wisconsin. Olympic wrestler Patera threw a boulder through a window of the restaurant - and after being tracked down by local authorities - Patera and Saito beat up the officers sent to arrest them at a local hotel. Sixteen months later in 1986 as a WWF employeet, Patera was charged with the crime of assaulting an officer as well as the charge of defacing private property and was sentenced to two years in prison. Upon release, Patera had a semi-successful mid-card babyface run in the WWF, while Mr. Saito was rarely ever seen again in America.
