10 Most Blatantly Obvious Blade Jobs In Wrestling History

2. Kurt Angle

Now this is where we officially cross the line from obvious blade job to utterly embarrassing, career-ruining, for-goodness-sake-get-the-camera-off-of-him blade job. Everything about this video is wrong. Let's start with Jeff Jarrett's gloves. Why is there so much padding? If the plan is for Kurt Angle to blade, why is he being punched in the face by a man with padded gloves? Wouldn't a chair be more effective? Are we supposed to assume Jarrett has sharp knuckles? Then there's the referee obviously pulling the blade from his pocket at :08 and obviously handing it to Angle at :16. Then there's Angle hilariously fumbling it just as they cut to a close-up of his face. And then there's the cut itself, which is so obviously from a razor blade and in no way it looks like it came from Jarrett's gloves. (Maybe we're supposed to think Jarrett hid a razor blade in the glove! No? It's just a terrible blade job? Okay.) Top-to-bottom, this is awful, and it would be the most blatantly obvious blade job in wrestling history were it not for one man...

Yes, my last name is pronounced exactly as it's spelled. Just like "going to the store". ;) I am an aspiring writer currently working on my first novel, which is GOING to be awesome once it's published. (See what I did there?) I love reading, am a HUGE film buff (who welcomes all trivia challenges), and never miss a New York Giants football game. I'm an open book so if there is anything else you'd like to know about me, just ask.
