10 Blockbuster WWE Returns That Would Improve Ratings Immediately

10. Daniel Bryan

Daniel Bryan has spent the bulk of the past two years on the disabled list, but before that, he was the most popular superstar in WWE. The WWE Universe was so vocally supportive of Bryan that the company was forced to scrap pre-existing plans and essentially book all of WrestleMania XXX around him. He defeated Triple H in the show's opener, then won a triple threat main event featuring Randy Orton and Batista to capture the WWE Championship. After WrestleMania XXX, the company experienced a ratings spike that saw Raw outperform pre-Mania episodes. Fans were invested in Bryan as champion, and even though his first feud was with perennial also-ran Kane, he still remained a draw. It wasn't until Bryan was forced to relinquish the title due to injury that the ratings dropped, plummeting 16 percent. Needless to say, there are problems with pushing Bryan - if he's even able to return at all. If he is cleared to compete, though, maybe it's in WWE's best interests to take a chance with the injury-prone star and make him a focal point of Raw - after all, proven draws are hard to come by.
