10 Bold WWE Predictions Before 2024 Ends
Massive reunions, comebacks, turns and...controversial episodes of WWE Raw?!
Some fans might've dropped off from obsessively paying attention to WWE's weekly product after SummerSlam. Sure, swaggering badass babyface Roman Reigns returned to action, but he won't be doing much until WrestleMania season anyway, right? Right?! Spoiler alert: That's wrong.
The final four months of the year look tastier than a classic WWF ice cream bar.
Bash In Berlin might be in the history books by the time you read this. After it, the company has a trio of main roster PLEs left in 2024. Bad Blood, Crown Jewel and Survivor Series. A typically 'meh' portion of the calendar has been anything but since Triple H seized control in 2022, so look out for more drama to come before 2025 hits.
We're talking cracking comebacks, sensational turns, huge reunions, and more controversy than anyone knows what to do with. All going well, the last leg of 2024 will set up the traditionally hot Royal Rumble-'Mania sprint nicely. There will even be some room for shocking splits, some cross-brand experimentation and a brand new title.
They're big, they're bold and they're brave - here's a checklist of things that might happen in WWE before Christmas.
10. Ricky Starks Becomes NXT Champion
Guessing who's about to jump between companies is part of the fun when it comes to being a pro wrestling fan. Who saw Ethan Page leaping from AEW to WWE in May and becoming NXT Champion at the turn of the year? Did anyone think Jade Cargill would make the move so soon into her career? To quote Goldberg, who's next?
Slicky Ricky, that's who.
Starks' AEW future remains a mystery to all but a few, but he does seem destined to wave goodbye to Tony Khan and say hello to Shawn Michaels and Triple H. If so, then Ricky will make a huge impact on the NXT scene. He's talented, and there's so much more to come from him than fans saw on Dynamite, Rampage or Collision.
This fan wouldn't be too shocked if WWE liked Ricky so much they put the NXT Title on him within weeks of his debut. That's not impossible, because they did the same with Page. How does Halloween Havoc sound for a debut, if contractually possible? That whole side of things is part of the mystery, admittedly.
