7. Make The Tag Team Division Mean Something Again
Right, to avoid the elephant in the room - yes, All Elite Wrestling are the absolute greatest at tag team wrestling right now. The problem here isn't with the quality of their doubles action, but rather the lack of top-tier tag teams.
Aside from the Young Bucks as the reigning World Tag Team Champions, who else can you really class in this ranking? Both Ortiz and Santana of the Inner Circle, and FTR of the Pinnacle should be under this heading. Instead they've cared more about the gang warfare rather than the tag titles.
The Acclaimed, Private Party, the Varsity Blonds, the Hybrid2, and countless others prove that there is depth to the division, but regardless, they're not quite there yet. Jon Moxley and Eddie Kingston uniting has added something fresh to a division rife on purely hot wrestling and not enough storytelling, but are they actually going to remain a proper team when they're not in the hunt for gold?
Breaking up SCU was a blow to the division. We're now without that veteran tag team that can take a loss to establish a younger team, unless the Jackson brothers move into this role once they've dropped the titles. There are numerous routes AEW can go down to make, for example, Private Party a crucial part to the doubles division.
For now, though, they're just there.
